These photos made up my first major showing in June 2000
The images are meant to illustrate the beauty and vibrancy of life in the moment. I like to use brilliant highly saturated colors with available light while showing a lot of movement with drama and a slight air of mystery.
Many of the images are from various events that I have attended in the past few years that have been organized as fundraisers in response to the AIDS crisis. For me, these events are all about celebrating life and appreciating how lucky we are to have what we have and to be where we are today. As an HIV specialist since the early dark days of the AIDS crisis, I have learned to keep things in perspective and appreciate all aspects of life...from the simplest to the most fabulous and complex. I have seen a great deal of progress that has resulted in improvement in the quality of many lives.
